The infected roam the towns of ZONA, hunt by sight and sound, and stand guard over the best loot. Get past them, then deal with the players who want what you are carrying. It's free, with no download.
How the infected hunt
- They see you standing at 34 metres, crouched at only 15. Crouch past them.
- They hear you: a jog at 11 metres, a sprint at 19, a jeep at 45, a gunshot at 125. A suppressor brings a shot down to 22.
- They give up about 14 seconds after they lose sight of you, then search where they last saw you.
- Where they are: the towns, and Bunker 17 underground, where infected in hazmat suits wait in the dark.
Surviving everything else
Your body
Bleeding, broken legs and splints, blood loss and blood bags, hunger and thirst.
The night
Day turns to night. Street lamps, a weapon light and campfires are the light, and a fire's smoke gives you away.
Other players
Full PvP with voice and chat. Team up, trade, or take what they carry.
Questions
Is ZONA a zombie game?
The infected are everywhere in it, but the main danger is other players: it is a PvP survival shooter with the infected in it, in the spirit of DayZ.
Can I outrun the infected?
Yes, if you keep moving: they chase at 3.3 metres a second and you jog at 4. Stop to loot, fight or bandage a wound and they catch up.
Is it free?
